Independent (Peter Ater Chan)

I am a community educator and aspiring technology professional passionate about empowering marginalized communities through education and practical skills. With experience in teaching, leadership, and volunteer service, I work closely with young people and refugees to promote learning, resilience, and positive social change. My work focuses on education support, digital literacy, mentorship, and community development. I have served as a teacher and mentor, facilitated workshops in community settings, and participated in initiatives that encourage youth to pursue academic and personal growth. I strongly believe that access to knowledge and skills can transform lives and restore hope, especially in underserved communities. Mission: To empower individuals especially youth and vulnerable refugees through education, mentorship, and technology, enabling them to become self-reliant, ethical leaders who contribute positively to their communities. Vision: A world where every person, regardless of background, has access to quality education, digital skills, and opportunities to thrive, creating stronger, more inclusive communities.

I am motivated to join the Catalyst Now Community to connect with like-minded changemakers and contribute to solutions that improve lives in marginalized communities. I hope to share my experience in community education, youth mentorship, and digital skills, while contributing ideas around grassroots innovation and sustainable livelihoods. From the community, I seek mentorship, collaboration, and learning opportunities that will strengthen my capacity to create meaningful impact.
