Kalkal Human Rights Development Organization (KAHRDO)

Kalkal Human Rights Development Organization (KAHRDO) is a women-led, non-governmental, and non-profit civil society organization based in Somalia. KAHRDO was established on July 7, 2013 to promote and protect human rights, advance gender equality, and support inclusive community development, with a strong focus on women, youth, children, and other marginalized groups. KAHRDO works to strengthen community resilience and social justice through rights-based programming, advocacy, capacity building, and humanitarian response. The organization operates primarily in South West State of Somalia, including Baidoa, Afgoye, Marka, and Elberde districts, working closely with local communities, government institutions, and development partners. With over ten years of experience, KAHRDO prioritizes women's rights, youth empowerment, and social justice. Its initiatives include awareness campaigns, legal assistance, and training programs to strengthen community capacities. Through these dedicated efforts, KAHRDO has positioned itself as a key advocate for human rights and sustainable development in the regions.
