About Rodrigo Eidy Uemura: I am passionate about intrapreneur and diving into the experience of social entrepreneurship. With a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from University of São Paulo and a specialization in People Management from University of São Paulo, I leverage the value of customer-centricity to develop better experiences for employees, communities, and partners. About Litro de Luz Brasil: Litro de Luz Brasil is a social organization that brings clean, sustainable, and accessible solar lighting to communities without reliable access to electricity. Founded in 2014 the organization has impacted over 30,000 people across the country, especially in remote regions such as the Amazon, rural settlements, and urban peripheries, in reverines, indigenous, quilombola's and other types of population. The organization develops and implements solar lighting solutions—such as handlamps and streetlights—made with affordable and recyclable materials like PVC pipes, plastic bottles, solar panels, LEDs, and batteries. These technologies are designed to be easy to assemble and maintain by community members themselves, ensuring local autonomy and long-term sustainability. Litro de Luz Brasil’s approach goes beyond simply delivering technology. It is based on education, empowerment, and co-creation. The team works side by side with community members, offering workshops and hands-on training so that residents become protagonists in the process of building and maintaining their own lighting systems. This participatory method fosters local leadership, reduces dependence on external resources, and creates a deeper sense of ownership. The organization also partners with universities, companies, and volunteers to strengthen its impact and scale innovative solutions. Litro de Luz Brasil has been recognized nationally and internationally for its work in promoting energy access, sustainability, and social inclusion.
