Maitrayana’s (meaning kindness, benevolence, good will, compassion) vision is to work towards a gender equal society in which girls and women can exercise their rights. Maitrayana’s mission is to achieve this by leveraging the power of sport to create ecosystems that empower girls and women to fulfil their potential. Maitrayana implements The Young People’s Initiative (YPI), a sport-for-development program that empowers adolescent girls and young women in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
