Mountain Hub

Mountain Hub is a creative space and venture-building organization designed to rally entrepreneurs with support and resources to transform great ideas into successful companies. Mountain Hub is passionate about driving smart solutions that are both economically empowering and sustainable for the climate and human existence. Its operations are aligned with the Global Sustainable Development Goals and the Inclusive Green Economy Principles, Priorities, and Paths toward a fair, sustainable, and green economic future for all. Mountain Hub's operations fall within three categories: Ecosystem building, Capacity building and Venture building. At the level of ecosystem building, we engage and execute activities such as hackathons and pitch contests; for capacity building, we offer trainings to entrepreneurs and startups in idea generation, business development, marketing and branding, at the level of venture building, we run an incubator and accelerator for startups. Consequent to our ecosystem building engagement, we are currently a consortium for the organisation of the Cameroon International Tech Summit, scheduled for September 2024. As a buildup to this Summit, a series of pre-summit activities are being organised across the 10 regions of Cameroon, since January 2024. This is to enable a rekindling and sourcing of local solutions from local realities. This, it is hoped will serve for a reorientation of tech and startup policy in Cameroon and much of Central Africa. Through our CITY HACK project, we engage in organising hackathons for geminate potent solutions to societal challenges. We have been able to organise over 8 strategic hackathons to leverage technology-enabled solutions for climate-smart agriculture, waste management, AI-powered education, music exportation, among others.
