PRISM Institute

We primarily advise governments directly and through multilateral institutions on a data driven collaborative framework that we have codeveloped with Univ of Oxford to help manage public risks. We see most of the SDGs as public risk reduction goals…to support this framework we are working on a technology platform that helps identify risk priorities (SDG target priorities) using a combination of open source data and community generated data. The platform itself is built on a bayesian modeling environment that looks at the interlinkages across the SDG themes (food, health, gender, climate, housing and infrastructure, and education/poverty). ……… Our vision with the platform is two fold…. To provide businesses and investors a holistic view of prevailing ESG risks (especially those external to their operations) and opportunities in the settings they operate in and 2) to provide communities especially in vulnerable regions of the world with a platform that empowers them to become self reliant in managing their community risks. The second vision is directly addressing the “Leave No One Behind” goal of the UN in its SDG endeavours.
