Safe Centre Initiative
Safe Centre Initiative is a newly registered organisation. We are a young women-led Non-Profit organisation registered with the CAC in Nigeria as Safe Centre for Women and Girls Empowerment Initiative. Focused on protecting and empowering marginalised children, adolescent girls, and young women to prevent gender-based violence, access quality education, healthcare and empowerment opportunities.
Vision
A society where marginalised children and adolescent girls' rights are protected, and they are provided access to quality education, menstrual health and hygiene management services, nutrition, and are empowered to thrive in a safe community.
Mission
To enhance the societal response to children and adolescent girls' rights and well-being through education, advocacy, sensitisation, awareness campaigns, digital literacy and service delivery.
We have implemented an awareness campaign on the importance of education for girls in the Dong community and the Government Secondary School Dong in Jos North Local Government of Plateau State, as well as JSS Dawaki and Dutse in Bwari Area Council of FCT.
Since our establishment in 2024 and subsequent registration approval on 12 March 2025, we have reached more than 200 adolescent girls and boys in underserved communities.
