I am Duterimbere Marie Aimée, a purpose-driven professional and community advocate committed to advancing sustainable development, climate action, and inclusive social impact. My work and volunteer experience span community engagement, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, and social innovation, with a strong focus on creating practical, people-centered solutions.
I am passionate about empowering communities especially women and young people by strengthening their capacity to participate in sustainable economic opportunities while protecting the environment. I have been actively involved in initiatives related to climate protection, community development, and social advocacy, where I have contributed through coordination, awareness-raising, and collaborative problem-solving. These experiences have shaped my belief that lasting change happens when local communities are engaged as active agents of transformation.
My mission is to support inclusive, sustainable solutions that address environmental challenges, promote social equity, and improve livelihoods. I am particularly interested in initiatives that integrate climate resilience, green entrepreneurship, and community-led development to create long-term impact.
My vision is a future where communities are empowered with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities to thrive sustainably, while contributing meaningfully to global efforts toward the Sustainable Development Goals. I believe in the power of collaboration across sectors and borders, and I am committed to working with networks like Catalyst Now to accelerate collective action, share knowledge, and scale solutions that create positive systemic change.
Through my engagement with global and local partners, I aim to continue learning, contributing, and supporting initiatives that foster innovation, resilience, and inclusive growth for present and future generations.
