Tanzania Bora Initiative (TBI)

Tanzania Bora Initiative (TBI) is a nationally recognized youth-serving organization working at the intersection of leadership, innovation, arts and culture, and systems transformation in Tanzania. Through creative and community-driven approaches, TBI empowers young people and underserved communities to become active agents of social, economic, and civic transformation. Our mission is to cultivate transformative leadership, locally rooted innovation, and inclusive learning ecosystems that equip young people with the skills, confidence, creativity, and critical thinking necessary to shape equitable and sustainable futures. We believe education must go beyond memorization and become a tool for imagination, identity, problem-solving, and community transformation. Through our programs, TBI combines creativity, storytelling, interactive learning, youth engagement, and cultural knowledge systems to redesign how young people learn, participate, and thrive within rapidly changing societies.
