The Development and Community Consultants SA

D&C Consultants SA is a South African social impact consultancy focused on innovation, youth empowerment, and community development through technology and education. Founded and directed by Chad Paulse, the organization designs and implements transformative programmes that bridge the gap between digital skills and real-world opportunities. Our flagship initiative, the Code 4 Change Indaba, unites innovators, educators, corporates, and youth to accelerate digital inclusion and entrepreneurship. Through strategic partnerships with organizations such as the AWS Skills Center, we aim to create sustainable pathways for growth, employment, and social transformation. Our mission is to drive equitable access to digital literacy, innovation, and leadership opportunities for all South Africans. Our vision is a nation where every individual is empowered to use technology to solve local challenges and shape a better future for their communities.

I want to be part of Catalyst Now because my life’s work is centered on building opportunities for young people, communities, and organizations that have historically been overlooked. Everything I’ve done through D&C Consultants SA, Skillbridge, the EVOLVE Programme, and my partnerships across the country points toward one mission: to create pathways for growth, innovation, and economic participation that truly include everyone. Becoming part of Catalyst Now aligns perfectly with this mission. Catalyst would give me the platform, network, and backing to scale the impact I’m already driving; from youth employment solutions and 4IR integration to building community-driven social enterprises. I’m not entering Catalyst as someone who wants a seat at the table; I’m entering as someone committed to reshaping the table so that more people from low-income communities, townships, and marginalized groups can sit at it too.
