TIN Ventures Ltd

Our vision is to achieve IMPACT at scale for entrepreneurs from disadvantaged and minority ethnic which align with IFOW Good Work Monitor mission which states: Good work is more than employment. It is work that promotes dignity, autonomy, equality; work that has fair pay and conditions; work where people are properly supported to develop their talents and have a sense of community. Our analysis shows that access to good work confers protection against the health, social and economic shocks of the pandemic at all levels. Our approach is unique as it seeks to develop an end-to-end supply chain and business support ecosystem which can specifically: • Make entrepreneurship more accessible to underrepresented groups. • Provide fail-forward vocational learning pathways into better-paid/ higher-skilled jobs. • Reduce failure rates of startup SME's & social enterprises. • Create freemium revenue and marketing opportunities for all ecosystem/stakeholder partners.

I believe in the importance of ‘democratising digital’ which stems from my 25 years as a C-Level consulting, operations management and business development professional – latterly at global IT outsourcer Capgemini – where I was seconded to the ethical business charity BITC as a Business Connector. This fuelled my ambition to uncover the untapped potential of young (and older) people - many from disadvantaged black and minority homes – who are most often those furthest away from mainstream education and good work, and place them at the heart of creating lasting equity. and change by developing their employability and supporting their journey to a job.
