Tuboreshe Pamoja CBO

Tuboreshe Pamoja is a community-based organization (CBO) based in Machakos County, Kenya in East Africa. The organization is registered under the Directorate of Social Development, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. Tuboreshe Pamoja is a Swahili word meaning “Let’s improve together. Our slogan is “Better Together!” Tuboreshe CBO works with/for stakeholders and vulnerable groups across Machakos County-Kenya in; Leadership and governance, economic resilience and Climate change, sexual reproductive health and rights and Science, Technology, engineering and Mathematics (STEM) using the Community Driven Systems for Change (CDSC) approach in empowering local communities to identify their own needs, priorities, and solutions to foster sustainable development outcomes by leveraging local knowledge, resources, and agency in addressing their own development challenges and foster long lasting impact and fostering self-reliant communities. The organization works in the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)SDG 3: HEALTH,SDG 4: EDUCATION,SDG 5: GENDER EQUALITY, SDG 8: DECENT ECONOMIC GROWTH and SDG 13: CLIMATE ACTION

I look forward to sharing strategies that Tuboreshe Pamoja is employing towards grassroots engagement of people abled differently, children, youth and women with other social innovators and share our experience in implementing through community driven systems for change (CDSC) approach. I look forward to collaborations and partnerships in ending teenage pregnancies, ending period poverty, and circular economy with special emphasis on agriculture and food systems, governance &civic engagement with a keen interest in working with youth groups and women chamas (groups)
