UNSUNG HEROES KAKUMA is a youth led CBO (community-based organization) located in Kakuma Refugee Camp aiming to empower refugees and host communities to co-create sustainable solutions through innovation, leadership development and skills enhancement. Our mission is to facilitate refugee-led innovations, strengthen local capacities and foster social cohesion by implementing structured programs, partnerships and training initiatives

I hope to contribute to this movement by sharing practical, community-led solutions shaped by lived experience in refugee and host communities. As a youth leader working in Kakuma Refugee Camp, I contribute by mobilizing young people, strengthening leadership and create local driven innovations that address education gaps, unemployment and social exclusion. I aim to actively participate in knowledge-sharing, peer learning and collaboration, while amplifying refugee voices.
