Shifting the Funding Paradigm – WG

My motivation for joining the Catalyst platform is based on my determination to make my contribution to achieving the SDGs.

I wanted to join the network to connect with more people in the sectory from the part of the world I live in. But, Chennai hardly has any active Catalyst members so there isnt much one gets to gain.

My organization is a member and with my changing workflow it is vital I engage with the wider community for thought exchange, critical thinking and peer leadership.

We love the concept of what Catalyst2030 is doing - in terms of creating a platform to enable more and better collaboration for systems change. We want to support this mission and work with others to make it a reality. We also want to work with Catalyst 2030 and its members to influence the ecosystems that support social entrepreneurs to partner with each other and with other societal sectors.

The Humanising Development Collective can offer innovative processes to change how the world of international development is funded

I was made aware of the community by member Manoj Panjwani. I am already a member of other network-driven communities built around collaboration to advance systems change, including Opportunity Collaboration + the Participatory Grantmaking Community of Practice (of which I am a co-founder). I get massive benefit out of these -- as a nonprofit news publisher, I am always looking for local-level data, and connections to thought leaders. I am interested in the Systems Change Learning spaces

Vanhu Tech is designed to change the way the "social impact game" is played by equalizing the power imbalance between funders and beneficiaries, creating an equitable seat at the table for smaller, local implementers, and ensuring a higher percentage of funding goes direct to legitimate implementers who truly serve their community. In doing so, we're creating 'organic sustainability' as local implementers are empowered to implement the solutions that are best suited for their context and need.

Mudito joins Catalyst 2030 to be in community with others reimagining how systems change is understood, felt, and narrated. As a field-first research and design practice rooted in ethnography, care, and inclusion, we hope to contribute tools, stories, and provocations that centre overlooked voices and challenge extractive models of impact. In return, we seek critical community, to exchange ideas, test bold hypotheses, and collaborate on narrative infrastructures that shift power.
